“Onside” with Central Coast Mariners

The program provides young people the knowledge and skills to deal with domestic violence and unemployment effectively.

Education for Empowerment.

The Central Coast has experienced a high incidence of domestic violence, with the second-highest number of Domestic Violence Apprehended Violence Orders in New South Wales in 2019, further complicated by the link between domestic violence and factors like unemployment, low income, and housing stress. Simultaneously, combating youth unemployment presents a challenge that affects the future prospects of the younger generation, emphasizing the need for effective pathways from school to work or tertiary education.

Create a more informed and compassionate generation that is committed to breaking the cycle of domestic violence.

Enrichd Consulting

Enrichd Group led a strategic and multifaceted approach required to address the two primary societal issues, domestic violence and youth unemployment, within the Central Coast region.

Education Program

The created program gives young people the knowledge and skills to deal with domestic violence and unemployment effectively. It’s about making them informed and responsible citizens who actively contribute to the community.

Collaborations

Onside works alongside NSW Education and local groups that deal with domestic violence and employment. This teamwork ensures the program fits well with existing efforts and uses the expertise of those already working in these areas to make a bigger impact.

Results and outcome

  • Secured state level funding for Central Coast Mariners Onside program year one.
  • The success of the Onside program will be determined by evaluating its impact through feedback from participants and third-party assessments, with a focus on achieving concrete results that matter to the community.
  • As Onside progresses, it will continually review and adapt the program to better serve the Central Coast community led by Enrichd Group.
