Advancing NSWRL digital platforms and platform monetisation
In 2021, NSWRL engaged Enrichd Group to help them better understand and cultivate their digital footprint, build digital audiences and ultimately have a path to increased digital monetisation opportunities and digital sustainability.
A key focus was the investigation into NSWRL’s capacity to leverage live streams of games, as well as optimising existing digital platforms. Previous efforts had used Facebook Live streaming to broadcast games, establishing demand for live NSWRL content exists, but was limited in long term commercial opportunities and high quality streaming experience viewers have become increasingly used to with the prevalence of on demand video rising in Australia.
Incorporating new digital products into the NSWRL ecosystem
Enrichd Group’s proven strategic methodology for enacting digital change was employed to investigate feasibility of incorporating new digital products into the NSWRL ecosystem. Enrichd Group initiated the project by conducting extensive data research, including digital trends in sport, competitor analysis, deep audience data analysis and technology platform analysis.

Results and outcome
The project proved to be successful in engaging NSWRL senior management and Board with varying degrees of digital literacy, enabling technical information to be communicated simply while providing a clear strategy to drive return on investment.
The new streaming platform will be launched 2024 and will be promoted as a hero digital asset to engage rugby league fans and build on a younger audience
